29 Jan A big welcome to our new Podiatrist, Anna Beetham!
We’re VERY excited to introduce our new Podiatrist to you. As you know, we pride ourselves on delivering the very best in podiatric care. Doing so is a combination of our commitment to always upholding our values, investing in fantastic and innovative technology for you, and, of course, working with talented Podiatrists that go above and beyond for their patients. Anna Beetham is just this and so much more!
Let us tell you a little bit more about her and her experience…
Anna is a vibrant and dynamic Podiatrist with almost two decades of experience internationally. She’s actually spent the past 18 years living and practising in Melbourne, so we’re stoked to have her come back home and join the MFC team! For those wondering why she left Melbourne, it’s because she wanted a more relaxed pace of life for her family and two active young kids. She had a fantastic experience growing up on the farm and she wanted her kids to have the same!
Now, down to the technicalities. The term ‘highly-skilled Podiatrist’ is truly an understatement when it comes to Anna. We’ve already mentioned that she’s been helping patients for over 18 years, but more than that, she offers fantastic expertise into two very specific areas.
The first is sports injuries & lower limb biomechanics – and world-class rehabilitation when it comes to this! Anna has worked extensively with a number of athletes, including international soccer players, tennis players, AFL players and young elite athletes. She was even the consultant Podiatrist at the Melbourne Victory Soccer Club, was part of the medical team at the 2006 Commonwealth Games, and coordinated the Podiatry coverage of the Oxfam Trailwalker 100km event.
Her second area of expertise is in kids foot health and development. From the exciting first steps to young competitive athletes preparing for a career in this field, she’s got it covered. She additionally attained a Diploma in Therapeutic & Sports Massage after her Podiatry degree, and is the Podiatry Ambassador for Bobux footwear.
But where did it begin for her?
Her expertise in biomechanical Podiatry began with her own experience as an elite swimmer and state level hockey player right here in New Zealand. It’s what sparked her passion for this field – and we’re so glad that it did all those years ago! When she’s not working to improve the lives of her patients, she’s spending time with her husband and children, as well as enjoying pilates, swimming and walking.
We can’t wait for you to meet Anna in person and experience her knowledge for yourself! If you’d like to book yourself or your kids in with Anna, she starts with us on February 7th! You can make an appointment with her by calling 06 370 4057 or using our online booking form here.
