Painless, Active Joints Are Closer Than You Think

Painless, Active Joints Are Closer Than You Think

Feel like you’re too old to walk without joint pain? Many people believe that their bodies, and specifically their joints are “beyond help”. They’ve been living with joint pain for so many years that the aches feel almost natural – just a normal part of life at their age – or so they think.

We’ve heard this too many times to count over the years, so today we’re addressing this false belief and setting the record straight: you absolutely don’t have to live with joint pain or discomfort.

Joint Pain Is Treatable

It’s disheartening to hear when our patients have been told that nothing can be done for their joint pain, because it’s simply not true. For the majority of patients we treat, we are able to get them back to chasing after their grandkids again, playing their favourite sports, and going on those great hikes.

For those whose unique circumstances mean that we can’t eliminate their pain entirely, in most cases we are still able to reduce it significantly. Even a reduction in pain by 30% – or bringing someone’s pain on a scale from a 7 to a 4 out of 10 can make a massive difference to their daily living, happiness, mobility and confidence on their feet.

Research into joint pain and treatments is happening constantly. Unfortunately, many still rely on old research when informing people of what is and isn’t possible for their joints. For example, it used to be thought that when you had osteoarthritis in your knee, you should avoid using it and reduce your physical activity so as to stop the ‘wear and tear’ from progressing. Now we know better – studies have proven that light to moderate exercise not only helps with knee osteoarthritis, but can play a role in prevention, too.

You Don’t Have To Be Young And Fit To See Results

Your age and level of fitness is not a measure of whether you can improve your joint movement and pain levels. We work with plenty of retirees who had ‘accepted’ their pain as part of their life, and believed that nothing could work for them. Many had tried working with others to improve their joint health in the past, but with very little success, so they quickly became discouraged. You don’t have to be young and healthy to see results – a big portion of our patients that we treat using our active joints plan are aged over 65 years.

There’s No Need For Surgery

One of the greatest benefits of our active joints plan is that there’s absolutely nothing invasive about it – no needles, no drugs, and no surgery. Our treatment is hands-on. A lot of the work we do at Masterton Foot Clinic is designed to help our patients prevent surgery entirely.

You Can Start Seeing Results Within Three Weeks

A big barrier for any treatment we find is when people are told they have to wait months before maybe they might start seeing some results – if at all. That’s a massive commitment – and much more than many people can tolerate without some positive feedback – like a notable reduction in joint pain. With our plan, our patients are seeing results within three weeks, and the benefits keep going from there as your podiatrist adjusts your plan based on your results.

We Offer A Specialised, All-Inclusive ‘Active Joint’ Plan

Money is often an important barrier to pain-free living for many. They don’t know how many sessions they’ll need, what the different parts of their care cost – and what it’ll all add up to. When there’s no definitive number, the costs may skyrocket over the weeks without you even realising. We understand this, which is why we’ve developed our ‘Active Joints’ plan that has one all-inclusive cost, with two different care options.

When we say all-inclusive, we mean all of your appointments for a variety of treatments – from orthotics to foot mobilisation therapy and more.
